About Me

Hello!
I’m Emi (Emese Szanyi)

AMI Montessori teacher,
mother of two + founder of Montessori Junior.

What fascinates me about Montessori education is how it supports the child’s individual capabilities and natural developmental needs. Not by rushing it, not by ”allowing everything”, but by gently guiding and creating opportunities for his or her optimal physical – mental – emotional development.

I have dedicated my career to helping both educators and parents. In my work, I focus on respectful attitudes and conscious communication. My goal is to help families manage + prevent challenges and develop + maintain harmonious relationships through the principles of loving and respectful parenting and positive discipline. And to provide the child(ren) with long-term skills and a solid foundation.

I hold a Montessori teacher diploma from AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) in early childhood education, specializing in children under six. My journey has taken me to various international institutions in Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Austria, where I have honed my skills and gained invaluable experience. I am currently working in Vienna and helping parents online.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of families online, with a vibrant community of over 40,000 followers on Instagram. I am on a mission to educate parents about this wonderful approach.

Supporting emotional development has become a particular focus of mine in recent years. I continuously train in the latest & different methods of emotional regulation and emotional intelligence, integrating these insights into my work with parents and educators. I believe that fostering emotional intelligence in children is essential for a happy and balanced life.

I am grateful to be in touch with hundreds of families via the Montessori Junior page and to support them in creating a more harmonious and enjoyable daily life.

Beyond the insights gained from my professional experience (and feedback from the parents), my own children are my greatest teachers. They can show me something new every day and I also see that putting theories into practice is hard work. These experiences continually inspire and refine my approach, ensuring that I can provide practical, real-life solutions to the families I support.

Learning (and unlearning) parenting skills takes a lot of practice, time, and conscious awareness. But perfection is not the goal. That’s why I emphasize that whatever the challenges parents face, remember that “every step you take for your children and your family is valuable and important.

I do not consider the Montessori approach as a classroom pedagogy. For me, it is a way of life that fundamentally shapes the way I relate to children, the way I talk to them, the way I see them and it provides the foundation for the way I behave around them.

I also believe that every family is unique and every child follows a different developmental path. This is why I offer one-on-one counseling, providing individual support tailored to each family’s needs.

If you feel you need support on this journey, please feel free to contact me. I am committed to using my knowledge and experience to support you in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for your child’s growth and development. Together, we can work towards helping your child reach their full potential and helping you feel confident and empowered in your role as a parent.
